Update: WOW.. this pipeline is FAST =)

Here are the requested rails.. I made it all metal to reuse another texture for memory. Again colors will cme frm characters and effects ala diablo… unless you guys have better ideas =)

Update: Check this out… man is this getting good!… Here is a video of editing a level. See how amazing in game tools are! Create a level real time ON MY PHONE! or iPad! Sorry a little excited! Now off to the props finally I found a problem I had to fix and it took some time.. Pretty soon off to throw the ball with the boys.. I Hope I get at least a few props in -)

I have the waterfall in and 3 nasty errors in code fixed… this engine will be with me for life.. I love it!…

I tried stalagmites and just did not like the first try so I will be giving it another go as I like the shadows they will cast…

Current idea list sent in -=)
1. Finish the waterfall and its code to know when water touches an edge and add a waterfall there on sector build.
2. Rail tracks broken and abandoned.
3. Random floor patterns seeded off their X and Y.
4. Wires coming down and hitting a wall at an abandoned terminal.
5. Abandoned terminals in the level.
6. roots or veins in the walls randomly seeded x and y
7. remember to make a good joke like the doom marine in duke nukem… carefully. =)

O and bumped into this holy CRAP!!! Most epic fps kill in history?

    Wow, that looks awesome Ryan πŸ™‚ do you think the water should be flowing towards the falls tho? Right now it is flowing away, and is defying the laws of gravity πŸ˜‰
    Would a foot bridge with decaying boards and ropes ala Indiana Jones be workable? Boards could fall as player walks across..or maybe random small quakes could occur and actually make the bridge start falling apart..same effect to some of the random pillars? Or am I getting carried away?

      Thanks so much! =).. the compliments are the fuel =)…it needs a little more work but I am pretty happy with it. I need more 3D up and down structures to make it less 2D.

      I like that idea and get carried away.. that is what will make this the killer app =)… nothing like Cursed Realms on the ios i know of =).

      I like the boards falling away too.. I need to do that with rocks also and other items. All from the underside so it can repeat.

      Good stuff I am working on the waterfall automatically placing where water meets chasm. And as far as the water flow .. a little can be done but it would be really time consuming to calculate the water flow direction and make it proper in a dynamic world like Cursed Realms is.

        Interesting … is there a website? I would like to see some brighter shots so I can see things =).. Very colorful.. I like the look.

        Ahh unity engine.. .wow I think 90% of the games are running unity these days =) It is a very good platform.

        I am very interested in this game…. I love the creative nature of it.. Will be following this bad boy =)

    Been done, but why not have a natural feature in a cliff or rock formation that uses the stalagctites, mites to form a giant skull with the Goonies..think it was in Diablo Mt Rushmore but a skull ( again with the skulls, hehe) you know..weird glow coming from the giant eyes..or waterfall effect..just another thought..

      O and I will be altering th rocks t be more irregular.. I need to be careful as that is gameplay also the player needs to be able to see the grid with a glance…

    Really loving this, Ryan! Looks damn great. I think you’ll return your investments just by licensing the engine to other developers ( if you want to ofc.) because all this looks like a new level of “seriousness” in iOS. On the ideas side, maybe you could continue this victorian vibe I’m sensing in the screens. Gas lamps on the walls, clockwork mechanisms, plasma cylinders. You know, the usual stuff. I’m kind of dry on ideas atm, but I’ll try to contribute in the future. Btw did I say how much I loved Mission Europa? πŸ˜€ . Oh and in refference to your refference-May the Schwartz be with you!

      ROFL =) Spaceballs … needed a sequel -)..

      I love the victorian idea… very cool. Kind of a tesla / mixed in age. I can do anything with the storyline backdrop. The whole time distortion multiple universes colliding thing =).

      Licensing the engine someday could be very nice. I would have to get a few games out of it first to really knock out the issues. And the big task would be documenting everything =).

      In the future I really want to make a universe where the players are Dungeon masters AND players like the old D&D. So they can design parcels of land or dungeons and build their own story arcs. Then have it all online for people to take on and explore… that would be the goal at least some day πŸ˜‰

      Keep up with the ideas good stuff!
